Developer Relations Manager

Are you passionate about playing games? Do you love talking to people? Engross yourself in our community of game developers to promote and embrace the Mochi Media brand. Camp on message boards, never let IM go idle, constantly email, and blog like there’s no tomorrow. There’s a lot to learn from our community and you’re the one who’s going to be the eyes and ears for Mochi Media. You’ll also be the voice that speaks to our community as you answer questions, teach best practices, and engage with developers.

The Developer Relations Manager is responsible for virtually all aspects of community engagement and will work closely with internal and external audiences to define the community strategy and execute against it. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and love engaging with developers to drive feedback, engagement and awareness of Mochi Media products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and execute community-wide programs and promotions focusing on our target audience of developers.
  • Create documentation and sample code to help make developers’ lives easier
  • Communicate with the community through email, chat, online forums, blogs and websites on game-related topics
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key community members
  • Build our MochiLand community site by encouraging community contributions, facilitating conversations and coming up with ideas for great new content
  • Be the face and voice of Mochi Media to the community at online and offline events

Qualifications:

  • Past experience participating and managing online communities or blogging
  • Familiarity with social networking sites, blogs and the online game space
  • Flash game development experience is ideal, and being a casual gamer is a must!
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
