Happy October! In honor of autumn and, well, all good things, we’ve just rolled out some nifty new features to feed your inner information hog.
Advanced Country and Domain Game Stats
We know how much you love to see how well your games are doing (as do we!), which is why we’ve just released our new advanced stats feature.
Now when you click on a game in your dashboard, you’ll notice there’s a new tab in town, snuggled in between “overview” and “game settings.” Visit it often; stats is friendly and has a lot of valuable info for you, including:
- Up-to-date uniques
- More host info (50 listed hosts)
- Performance by ad format (pre-game, inter-level, click away and peel away)
- More countries listed
- Ability to search your earnings, ad requests, impressions, uniques, and eCPM by date for any time period (just click on “change dates” next to “currently viewing” to select dates)

Example: MochiAds stats view. Click on the image for larger view.
How it’s useful:
Stats will help you track your games’ performance over time, as well as help you better understand which publishers are driving the majority of your traffic (i.e., where your games are being played the most).
Try it:
To start playing with stats, log in as a developer, click on a game in your dashboard, and select stats from the navigation bar. From here, click on the different tabs to view the performance of your game by different criteria.
Game Stats Sharing
Yes, there’s more! Say you take a look at your stats and think, “this is awesome! If only other developers –- or, even better, sponsors –- can see how well my games do!” Sure, you can post your stats up on your fridge and hope all of your favorite internet friends drop by for a cup of hot chocolate. But why do that when you can easily share your data — in real time — with the folks who you’d like to see it!

Example: MochiAds stats sharing. Click on the image for larger view.
How it’s useful:
Use this stats sharing feature to create secret links to your game statistics with collaborators, sponsors and/or the general public. You can share impression data, or even the full revenue data for your game with anyone. Create multiple links and deactivate the links at any time.
Try it:
Log in as a developer, click on a game in your dashboard, and select “stats” from the navigation bar. The sharing link is located to the right of the “Game Stats” heading of the page.
Game Link Tracking
We’re also excited to announce our new game link tracking feature. Now when you insert links into your game, you can make them dynamic so you can monitor their performance and even change them on the fly.
![]()
Example: MochiAds link tracking. Click on the image for larger view.
How it’s useful:
Say you insert into your game two “Play More Games” buttons on your menu and end-of-game screens. Through the link tracking tool, you can now change where these links point to at any time –- so that you can, for instance, sell the link to different websites during different time intervals, if you’d like. So instead of having to remove the links when you sell a license to the game, you can just change the link to point to their site when your game is hosted there. Yeah!
The link tracking tool also allows you to track how those links do — so you can see if more people are clicking on the button from the menu screen vs. the end-of-game screen. Oh, and in the rare case our server is down, it supports a failover URL.
Try it:
Log in as a developer, click on a game in your dashboard, and select “link tracking” from the navigation bar. Then click on “create new link” to add a new link to track. You’ll need to make sure to get the new MochiServices API.
FAQs
Advanced Stats & Stats Sharing
Is stats available for all international developers?
Yes. To get to the stats page, click on a game from your dashboard and then click the “stats” link. It’s right under the game title in the top left, next to “overview.”
Is stats meant to replace MochiBot?
Nope; take advantage of both! You can still use MochiBot to track various points in your game to measure performance or even game difficulty, for instance. You can measure how far your users get in a game or which levels are the most popular.
What does “legacy” refer to under ad formats in the stats interface?
Legacy refers to the ads that ran before we recorded ad formats in the database.
What if I change my mind or no longer want to share my stats with someone?
You have the power to deactivate the links at any time for any person you grant access to your stats. You can create separate links for different people, so that you can deactivate one user’s access while enabling another to see your data.
Can I choose what data I want to share with whom?
Yes. You can share impression data, or even the full revenue data for your game with anyone.
Game Link Tracking
Does link tracking work for AS2 and AS3?
Yep! And it won’t be popup-blocked by Firefox.
How does link tracking work?
When you create your ‘button’ in your game, you’ll call a new function and pass a reference to that button. We’ll connect the right ‘events’ and take care of the rest. We provide a callback so you can still run some of your own code on the click.
Do I need to do anything to my code to enable link tracking?
Get the new MochiServices API, create a link in the MochiAds UI and you should be all set. To add a new link to track, click on the game in your dashboard and select “link tracking” from the navigation bar.
What happens in the hypothetical case that MochiAds’ link tracking servers go down?
Link tracking supports a failover URL in the rare case our server is down.

Sweet, some really nice features there, looking forward to using them :)
Awesome. I’m especially excited about the link tracking – very curious to see stats on those clicks.
Awesome, I heart stats :D
Excellent improvements, we’ll give this a shot on Banana Dash World 4 :D
Awesome!
I have heard about other advertising companies, but MochiAds has the best features.
@maxwell scott-slade: awesome!
Sounds awesome, the game link tracking especially. Are these just textual links? It would be great if we could upload images that get pulled through dynamically such as a company logos etc. We implemented something similar via an XML feed on Kebab Van to provide a dynamic billboard but the Mochi system would eliminate the need for it.
Hi Robbie, yes, you should be able to set the url to an image. :)
Not bad… Not bad.
And what for ho wants to track his clicks and can not write code. What about people who work in marketing?
I’m using free version of ClickMeterfor mt ADWords campaign. Do someone have news about PRO version is a good deal to buy it?
Great site. Thank you for sharing.
