Today we’ve rolled out a large set of improvements and updates to our suite of products:
Support for Multi-Party Revenue Sharing
Many developers work with other teams or sponsors to create their games, and we’re glad to announce that we now support multi-party ad revenue shares for teams. Shared games details will now show up on the dashboard, and you’ll be able to control ad revenue share on a per-game basis to multiple team members.
How to share revenue:
Login to your Mochi account and click on the game you want to share. On the game setting page, there’s now a “Revenue Sharing” option. Anyone you are sharing revenue with will automatically be able to see the game and access its stats on their developer dashboard. Enter in their Mochi username, and voila, they’re done!

Your dashboard will continue to show the gross earnings for the game until the end of the month. At the end of the month, we’ll debit the shared earnings from your user account and credit the shared earnings to the user(s) you’re sharing to. For example, if you are sharing 50% of your revenues with Bob and your game makes $1,000 this month, at the end of the month your balance will be adjusted to $500 and his to $500. Until the end of the month, he won’t see it in his grossed earnings but will still be able to view the game’s stats from his account dashboard to calculate what he will receive at the end of the month. All the adjustments will show up as separate line items in your Mochi account’s payment history.
Note: Currently this only supports Mochi Ads revenue sharing, but in the near future we will add support for Mochi Coins revenue sharing as well.
Mochi Scores 3.0 Are Now More Social and Customizable
This release has a number of new features for developers, and much broader publisher customization. One of the goals of the release is to make high scores more social. An increasing trend in online gaming is how powerful socializing a game can be at driving more plays and players. Think of socializing your game like you’re dousing it with gasoline… however addictive your game is now, getting players competitive with each other and friends super-charges games to be on average 20-30% more plays per person than their non high score equivalents!
We’ve improved the score submission process for games using Mochi Scores by removing the extra step in score submission and making it easier for them to compete. We’ve also made sure that leaderboards are as customizable as possible for publishers. Nearly every new feature can be customized to the site it’s being played on. Publishers with their own site can now customize user profiles and avatars to be specific to their site, and direct users back to their site through the gamer profile.

Publishers can access medal and score information through the API, and also customize high scores to encourage users to login and register with their own gaming site. We’ve also cleaned up the look to make it cleaner and easier to use. Here’s a rundown of what you’ll get:
- Improved submission flow
- Viral sharing to facebook, twitter, etc
- Player avatars
- Tracking player global and country ranking
- View medals from other players
- Improved friends leaderboard
- And much, much more.

In addition to this, gamers can now spread games through social networks like Twitter and Facebook driving more plays to your games and your sites. Once they click on any of those buttons, they’ll be re-directed to that network’s page so that they can share with their friends. High scores and medal achievements increase game plays by 20-30% on average, and these improvements will socialize games to drive more impressions and provide more points for publishers to engage with their gamers. To learn more, visit the Scores API page or publishers can learn more about custom publisher integration for Scores to their site.

Oh, this is just awesome. Great work Mochi! Achievements would be another great addition to the score API.
I really like the revenue sharing!
“Think of socializing your game like you’re dousing it with gasoline”
I once accidently doused myself with isopropyl rubbing alcohol when i was a kid trying to make a homemade flame thrower…
This new leaderboard fits much better into my game, this is nice.
The revenue sharing could be great for me… if there wasn’t the 5% increments. I agreed with a member of my team to give her 1/3 of our ad revenues.
Could you remove this limitation please? 1% increments would be perfect.
Eternal: We made it so it’s 1% increments instead of 5%. It’ll get rolled out soon. Thanks
