Hello from Seattle! Today at the Casual Connect conference, we’ve announced the launch of the new Mochi Coins API, a ground-breaking solution for game developers to sell virtual goods and upgrades in their games. The new Coins API is the latest addition to our suite of products which empowers Flash game developers around the world to develop great games and profit from them.
Coins Highlights
- 60% revenue share for the developer on all transactions.
- Universal wallet and login system, so gamers can spend across all games in the network, across any website they are playing on.
- Universal saved games and user data, through server side persistence and storage of game data tied to user accounts.
- Distribution through Mochi’s publisher network of over 30,000+ sites. Publishers will earn revenue by collecting affiliate fees based on sales from games played on their site.
- Multiple payment methods through credit card, PayPal and incentivized offers so that your gamers can easily and safely fund their wallets.
- Test and update your games, even if they are already distributed across the Internet. Use Mochi Live Updates and our Coins reporting tools to dynamically test pricing, game upgrades and other changes to optimize your revenues.
- Global monetization for your international gamers coming soon. We will be rolling out additional payment methods such as mobile and gamer cards in the near future.
- Easy to use and implement, like all of our products and services!
The potential revenue opportunity for Mochi Coins is immense. Ninja Kiwi, launching SAS Zombie Assault: 2, tested premium weapon sales and received revenue of $7-10 for every thousand times the game was played on their site. During the beta test with them this past month, on a daily basis their single game was able to generate more than the entirety of their ad revenues. Given that it’s 1 game versus their portfolio of 47 games, our initial data shows huge potential for developers to profit from creating great games.
Getting Started with Mochi Coins
Developers and their games must pass through an application and extensive QA process before the games are released to the public. This ensures that we build a strong audience for premium Flash games and users get the value they expect from purchases made in games. Developers, apply to join Mochi Coins today with your game idea!

Shadez 2: Battle for Earth – Coming Soon
Shadez 2: Battle for Earth
The follow up to Shadez: The Black Operations. More control, more explosions, more fun… take on this unknown force of killing machines with Helicopters, Troops, Tanks and Airstrikes. Construct a base to keep reinforcements coming.

What is the rev share for the publisher?
Do people have to log in before they have the ability to buy coins?
Zombi Assualt seems like that.
Wouldn’t it be best to show them the cost of the coins first? Then use their paypal process to sign them up to mochi coins as well.
Paypal takes 2.9% (plus 30 cents) to process a payment. Other payment processors are similar.
You take 40% to process a payment.
Am I missing something???
iphone takes 30%
nonoba takes 30%

(this is for Flash games)
mochi takes 40%
Am I missing something???
It would be better if 70% revenue share for the developer =]
it would be great to receive an answer to my emails T_T. It seems that currently mochi is only accepting a very small group of developers for mochicoins. So announcing it finally is not so great news for all of us :(.
Yeah, i thought that it is the great news, but as always, good things are only for few people. Anyway, Mochi Team is doing great job with their services, so i have nothing to complain.
@Lior: We’re planning to launch an affiliate program for publishers but details will be coming soon.
@David: Thanks for the feedback, we’ll definitely check that out and consider changing the flow.
@Dan, Curio, Imagine07: There is a lot more to Mochi Coins than simply integrating just a payment processor like PayPal. If that’s what you’re after, definitely go ahead and add that payment method like PayPal in yourself. We provide a much deeper platform including things like a login system and wallets which work across all games in the Mochi network, instead of just your game. Feel free to hop onto our forums at any time and join the discussion on this: https://www.mochimedia.com/community/
@Israel: Have you received a response? I hope so – we might have been a bit slow last week since half the team was at Casual Connect.
