It’s that time of year again when the greatest of gaming geeks from around the world gather in San Francisco for the annual Game Developers Conference. I too will be joining them to learn, share, and discuss anything gaming related. Over the past four years casual and independent games have grown increasingly popular as evidenced by the increasing number of speakers and attendees to each session. However, this year the Casual Games Summit and Independent Games Summit are already sold out making it clear that we’re looking at a tipping point for the explosive growth of simple and highly entertaining games.

It’s going to be a fun and exciting week to learn from some of gaming’s greatest and to get a glimpse of what’s to come for the gaming world in 2007-2008. If you’ll be attending GDC then drop me a note (jameson [at] mochimedia.com) as I’d love to meet and chat.
