We Have A Winner

This weeks Flash Game Friday Winner is “Pipol Smasher” by Dmitriy Zaletov (aka Vogd)!  Pipol Smasher is a puzzle game where you use different types of cars to run over ragdoll-type people in order to solve each puzzle.  The mechanics are fun, artwork is really nice, and the levels seem to have just the right amount of difficulty to solve. Check out my quick Q&A with Dmitriy below…congrats Dmitriy!

Who Is Dmitriy?

Here is a Q & A session I had with Vogd:

Q: How did you get into game development?

A: Four years ago I started working at “VZLab”, a game company in Saint-Petersburg. I am now at “Astar Games” and working on casual games like “Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil”. I attempted my first flash game about a year ago called “Honey Tree Defence”, which turned out to be a really funny game and I had a lot of fun making it. :)

Q: What was your inspiration for “Pipol Smasher”?

A: I was working on the game “Vehicles” for my friend Dmitriy Fedorov and for fun added ragdoll bodies to it. Later I finished this modification as a new game.

Q: What are your favorite types of games to create?

A: I like physics puzzles :)

Q: Are there any game developers that you consider inspirational or “rock stars”?

A: Yes, my stars are “Johny-K” and “Anton Karlov”

Q: Do you have any hot projects you’re working on right now?

A: Yeah! My friend Dmitriy Federov and I are working on “The Great Tactic Simulator of Special Forces”. I am doing the programming on the project- it should be really cool!
