Thought I’d take the time to bring to light one of the newer games to join the MochiGames family: Kingdoms at War!

The reason why this game has piqued the interest of Mr. Shen is that it is very different from many of the other Flash games we see everyday. It has taken the addictive gameplay of stat building and PvP interactions we have seen in social games like Mafia Wars or Mobsters and brought it to Flash. In addition to that, the game is also available for your iPhone and you can link the accounts (MochiGames and iPhone) together! Play in your browser or play on the go, it’s your choice.

It’s truly a new experience that we haven’t seen much of and I truly hope it’s the start of further broadening the Flash game experience to all audiences.
If you’ll excuse me, I have a nearby kingdom to spy on.

I think a very simple addition to Mochi to make this type of asynchronous game play more accessible to the average developer would be to open up the API to allow read-only access to other players’ inventories.
Currently, the only way to accomplish this is to mirror inventory/player info on your own database infrastructure–unnecessarily increasing the barrier of entry to this type of game play.
Cool stuff :)
