Hot on the heels of the Nitrome chat last week, I’d like to announce the next up in our series of Flash game developer live chats. This Thursday we’re bringing you the opportunity to ask questions of Chris and Stephen Harris, the creators of Ninja Kiwi.
Date: Thursday, August 27th
Time: 4pm PST
Location: Mochi Media Chat Channel (also known as the #mochi channel on Freenode)
The Ninja Kiwi team is the creator of the hit Flash game series Bloons, and most recently has produced two Mochi Coins enabled games: SAS Zombie Assault: 2 and SAS: Zombie Assault: 2 – Insane Asylum. You can view some of their portfolio here or visit them at NinjaKiwi.com. We’ll plan to post the log and a similar round-up like we did with Nitrome to this chat afterward.
How To Ask Questions – Developer Chat Rules
First off, if you have any questions, feel free to comment below in advance of this chat :)
After last week’s chat, we’ll be experimenting with a moderated chatroom format instead of the free-form chat that we did last week. (For those of you familiar with IRC, this is just a +m mode on the channel.) In this chat, the only people that will be able to speak are myself and the Ninja Kiwi guys. This will cut down on the chatter in the room and make it easier for questions to be asked and answered. Participants can spectate and send questions as private messages to me to ask them. If you see a question answered and want to follow-up on the question for a more in-depth response, you can ask follow-up questions in the same way.
Sending a Private Message
To send a private message, type in the following command:
/msg [user name] Hello!
Alternatively if you’re using the web interface for the chatroom, you can click on a username, select Query and it will open up a separate tab to chat with that person. To ask questions during the chat, send me a private message with your question to pass on to Ninja Kiwi.
Talk to you soon!
