Let’s take a look at the world in a whole new dimension! We are pleased to announce the latest World of 3D Contest! MochiAds and Freespin3D are joining forces to give away $20,000 in cash and FreeSpin3D licenses to the next seven Flash game stars, with the grand prize at $7,000 and a Freespin3D license!

The winners will be selected by an excellent panel of judges consisting of Amir Fisher (Revolver/Freespin3D), Bryan Chang (Video Games Producer), Raymond Wu (creator of Flash Gear Solid 3D) and Alexander Shen (Mochi Media). You can read all about them on the judges page.

Woohoo! So what are the requirements to enter?

First, your game must incorporate some kind of 3D assets using the Freespin3D API. The folks at Freespin3D have graciously provided a free download that is completely functional throughout the length of the contest.

Second, your game has to incorporate the MochiAds Version Control and Encryption service and/or utilize Mochi Leaderboards! Your game may contain one or both technologies. It must also run Mochi Ads.

Third, you must take action to submit your game to the contest. Mark the ‘Yes! Add my game to the ‘World of 3D’ opt-in box when you upload your game to MochiAds with Version Control and Encryption.

Games meeting these criteria that are submitted and approved in our system between today, January 20 through 11:59PM PST April 3, 2009 will be entered into the contest.

We’ve also been asked a few questions, so I will address some of the details here:

  • You do not have to be an existing Freespin3D member to participate. Just sign up for a new account and then proceed to download the special trial version that will be activated throughout the length of the contest.
  • The game only needs to contain 3D elements utilizing the Freespin3D API. The entire game does not have to be 3D.
  • There are not sponsor requirements.
