Since Mr. Shen is out on a well-deserved vacation, I’m announcing on his behalf the grand prize winner of the Batman: Brave and the Bold Casting Call!
For those of you who need a quick refresh on how the casting call was structured, we announced Phase 1 this promotion back in March to ask developers to submit their ideas and portfolio for the next big Batman game. Following that, in May we hit Phase 2 with the selection of the 10 top crime-fighting developers to actually develop their games. In this final phase, all of the games have been developed and the winners ranked and chosen. These finalists and their games are:
- “Batman: Gotham City Rush,” from Weirdbeard
- “Batman: The Rooftop Caper,” from James Greb
- “Game Over for Owl Man,” from Difference Games
- “Batman: Countdown to Conflict,” by MegaDev
- “Plastic Attack,” from Will Hankinson
- “Batman: Scarecrow’s Revenge,” by Let’s Design
- “Batman: Bat Brawl!,” by Michael Lapinski
- “Batman: In the Heat of the Night,” by Liquid Interactive
- “Batman: The New Recruit,” by Mouse Hog
- “Batman: Jumper,” by Evil Rat Studios
Out of these excellent games, congratulations to the final winner, WeirdBeard, for the creation of his game “Batman: Gotham City Rush“!! He receives a $9,000 prize and a $15,000 contract for his next game! Great job to everyone that participated! The remaining games created as part of this casting call will be posted on DCBeyond.com on Thursdays each week after this one, but you can play the grand prize winner today at the link below.
